LOS ANGELES, CA – Back-to-school planning has already started in Los Angeles, with calendars available to help parents prepare for day one in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
The first day of school for most Los Angeles students is August 16.
As the next school year approaches, some dates are likely to change as the coronavirus pandemic approaches its one-and-a-half-year point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible, although Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday reaffirmed his desire to see students back in the classroom so that they can enjoy the social and emotional benefits that come with full-time, by anybody. learning.
LAUSD will offer both in-person and online education for students who cannot or choose not to return to the classroom. Schools plan to follow health and safety guidelines. The campuses have also improved air filtration systems, sanitation efforts, and many protective equipment.
The Golden State will require indoor masks at K-12 schools, daycares and other places with children. Face covers will be provided for students who do not bring them.
