Auxiliary Oak Lawn VFW will be hosting its 10th Annual Craft and Vendor Fair on Sunday, October 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 9514 S. 52nd Ave., Oak Lawn.

Handmade crafts, home decor, delicious food and more will be available for purchase. There will also be a raffle table, and the kitchen will be open for lunch.

Admission is free and all proceeds benefit community programs and The Auxiliary’s veterans.

The Oak Lawn Park district will host Howl-O-Ween on Saturday, October 23, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Wolfe Wildlife Refuge, 109th Street and Laramie Avenue.

The outdoor event will feature a variety of games, activities and shows as families walk along the Wolfe Wildlife Refuge trail.

Activities will include a scavenger hunt, photo ops, pumpkin decoration, crafts, a campfire, character performances and more.

Participants must register in advance for a time slot, which will be limited to four groups with a maximum of five people per group. The cost is $ 5 per child. Parents can register their children, ages 2 to 12, for $ 5 per person.

Evergreen Park Library, 9400 S. Troy Ave., will host American Country History with Steve Justman on Thursday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m.

This library music program is a fun and engaging introduction and insight into the history of country music.
