The team of consultants will discuss the information developed to date on the new global plan. Time will be reserved for comments, questions and answers from the general public at the end of the meeting. The meeting will be set up as a hybrid with the ability to zoom in and participate in a limited way. Please contact Keegan Bailey, North Central Regional Planning Commission, at [email protected] for information on Zoom.
Documents completed to date on the Clay County Comprehensive Plan are available for public review at claycountykansasplan.wordpress.com/.
The updated plan will examine the county’s demographics, natural and environmental issues, current and future land uses, and any specific strategies that need to be considered and included for future planning. The final plan aims to provide a vision for the future of Clay County by providing new strategies and guides to achieving the desired vision.
The overall planning effort is made possible through a partnership between Clay County, the North Central Regional Planning Commission, Flint Hills Regional Council, which acts as the financial agent, and a grant from the Department of Defense for Fiscal Year 2020 Community Economic Adjustment Assistance for Compatible Use and Joint Land Use Studies.
