How to Add and Manage Calendar Events on iPhone and iPad

The Calendar app for iPhone and iPad offers a great way to keep track of all your appointments and events. While it’s faster to use Siri to create basic events, if you need more control or want to edit the details of an existing event, you can do it the old-fashioned way – by pressing on all options of the Calendar application.

How to Create a Calendar Event on Your iPhone or iPad

It’s easy to load the Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad with events. Just follow these steps.

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Tap the plus sign (+) in the upper right corner.
  3. Enter a Title, Dateand weather at your event. You can also enter an exact location if you wish.

  4. Then choose if you want the event to be a one day event. Activate this option disabled if the event has a specific time. You will then see the dates and times that you can edit and modify.
  5. If your event repeats, you can customize it.

  6. Then choose a alert if you want to be notified of an event.

  7. Enter a URLs if there is a website associated with your event.
  8. Faucet Add in the upper right corner to save your entry.

How to Edit a Calendar Event on Your iPhone or iPad

Has there been a date or time change for an appointment or event? Here’s how to edit your calendar event.

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Press the daytime where your event is taking place. Depending on the view your Calendar app is starting from, you may also need to tap the year or month.
  3. Press the Event you want to modify.
  4. Press on To modify in the upper right corner.
  5. Edit anything you need, then press Fact in the upper right corner to save your changes.

How to Delete a Calendar Event on Your iPhone or iPad

Are you not going to that party anymore or have an unnecessary meeting taken out of your work schedule? Here’s how to delete your calendar event.

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Press the month or daytime when your event takes place, depending on where your calendar is launched. A gray dot will indicate the day.
  3. Press the Event that you want to delete.
  4. Press on Delete event – it is downstairs.
  5. Press on Delete event again when it appears to confirm deletion. If this is a recurring event, you will need to decide if you want Delete this event only or Delete all future events.

Sometimes it can be handy to add additional information to your calendar events, such as URLs and notes, but you might not have this information handy when you create the calendar entry for the first time. Fear not, because you can add links and notes to existing calendar entries.

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Tap the event to which you want to add a URL or notes.
  3. Faucet To modify.
  4. Scroll down to the URL and Notes fields and enter the information accordingly.
  5. Faucet Fact at the top right to save your changes.

You can now tap URLs and view notes attached to the event, just like anyone you share the event with.

How to Get Ride Times for Calendar Events on iPhone and iPad

The Calendar app can help you determine the travel time to an event, but a location will need to be associated with the event to get an exact time. Otherwise, you will have to choose a time frame between 5 minutes and 2 hours. Your calendar event must also have a set start time. And you can’t set travel times for events listed as “all day”.

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Tap the Event you want to calculate a travel time (or create a new one).
  3. Press on To modify top right.
  4. Press on travel time.

  5. Turn On travel time.
  6. Press on Place of departure and tell Google Calendar your departure location by entering a address or the name of a place or business.
  7. Press on Location based for either conduct, while walkingor public transport directions.

  8. Press on Edit event at the top. The travel time will appear under Departures and Ends.

How to Move a Calendar Event or Appointment on iPhone or iPad Using Drag and Drop

Suppose you need to quickly change the time of an event or appointment in your iPhone or iPad calendar. In this case, Today View gives you an easy way to do this by dragging and dropping instead of entering edit mode for each event you need to edit.

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. Toggle List View disabled up if you haven’t already.
  3. Tap the daytime you have to change things for.
  4. Long press the Event you need to change the time for. It will take on a darker color.
  5. Drag the Event when you need to move it and Publish it when it’s the right time.

Although we’ve used paper calendars in our homes and carried diaries in our bags for decades, the best calendar is the one you always have with you.
