How to Change the Color of an iCloud Calendar in iOS 15 and macOS Monterey

You’re not stuck with the color that a calendar was originally assigned by you, or by whoever shared it with you. Here’s how to change the colors of iCloud calendars.

The methods to perform this action on iOS and macOS are different. First, let’s take a look at the iOS method.

How to Change the Color of an iCloud Shared Calendar on iOS

  1. On your iPhone, launch Calendar.
  2. Faucet Calendars.
  3. Scroll to the calendar whose color you want to change. Press sound i icon.
  4. Faucet Color.
  5. Select the preferred color, then touch Return.
  6. Faucet Do.

iCloud Calendar will now show the new color.

On macOS, this process is slightly different.

How to Change the Color of an iCloud Shared Calendar on macOS

  1. On your Mac, launch Calendar.
  2. Click it Calendars icon in the top left for the Calendar sidebar to appear.
  3. Right-click the calendar whose color you want to change.
  4. Select the preferred color from the picker or choose Custom color.
  5. Once done, click anywhere outside of the context menu.

The Mac iCloud calendar event will now reflect the new chosen color.
