Interior Health plans community-wide vaccination clinics in rural and remote communities.
Clinics are open to people 18 years of age and older who need their COVID-19 booster dose as well as children aged five to 11 to receive the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine.
“At the start of our vaccine rollout this spring, we held immunization clinics for people living in rural and remote communities to enable them to get immunized immediately,” said Susan Brown, President and CEO from Interior Health. “We are on our way back to these communities to provide booster doses and immunization to children who are now eligible for pediatric COVID-19 vaccines. “
Clinics will begin in December and community members will be notified directly by Immunizations BC when it is time to make an appointment. For a complete list of immunization clinics, please visit https://www.interiorhealth.ca/health-and-wellness/disease-outbreaks/covid-19/immunization-clinics.
To obtain an invitation to make an appointment, adults and children must be registered at www.getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca/ or call 1-833-838-2323.
People 12 years of age and over who still need their first or second dose are also encouraged to make an appointment or visit these clinics.
