LEGO Advent Calendars 2020, day 20 | The Brick of the Brothers

Happy holidays to all our fellow LEGO builders! As is tradition, at The Brothers Brick we will be opening our advent calendars during the countdown to Christmas. We’ll also be sharing comments on each, which will be both insightful and hilarious!

This year we have new Harry Potter, Star Wars, City and Friends advent calendars to open. We’ll be sharing images of the new calendars every day until Christmas, and hope you join us! Let’s see what there is to open on day 20.

Thirsty? Have a drink at the potentially non-alcoholic Harry Potter Calendar table. So hurry and check the Star Wars calendar to make sure your shield generator software is up to date.

JC: It looks like the other half of the Day 18 table to me. It looks like a less exciting version, however, and it lacks the greenery that would have given it a holiday point. I guess if they had mirrored the building, days 18 and 20 would have been the same and duller as a result. At least it looks like a “related but similar” extension. Star Wars gives us a nice backdrop in a little Hoth shield generator trick. Simple, but recognizable, just like a good microbuild should be.

Barth: Half a table filled with alcohol and a plate holder for your Christmas buffet.

Lino: Let’s not talk.

Benjamin: Luke must have decorated this part of Hoth.

After checking your shields, make sure your City truck is running and your Friends snowman is full.

Adam: I laughed when I first saw the snowman because it looked like a propane tank. But these are two pretty little creations. No complaints here.

JC: A similar build style once again unifies this tiny truck cab with the rest of the micro-vehicles on the City calendar. The colors are cool too. The latest version of a snowman uses a usual part – a Ninjago hood base. It’s a different look, but I agree with Adam that it reminds me of a propane tank. A 2 × 4 plate white as snowy ground would have made today a little more complete. There are only a few days left. Did the Friends Calendar save parts for some high-end final builds? One can only hope.

Lino: It’s a nice ride and everything, but I doubt the snowman is going to Florida.

Alexander: It’s a fancy snowman here. A stylish collar and a cylindrical hat. A man of class, to be sure.

Benjamin: I’m getting Dickensian vibes from this snowman for sure.

Even though we haven’t finished opening every calendar day, we can at least get the party started!

Speaking of party, join the fun again tomorrow as we open Day 21 of the 2020 LEGO Advent Calendars!
