The Fort Bragg Library Friends Noyo Bookstore is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. As the store is very small and poorly ventilated, secure masks and social distancing are highly recommended. The Noyo Bookstore is located near the end of North Harbor Drive.

Sit With Me, Read to Me is a 2021 Read Aloud 15 Minutes project sponsored by the Rotary Club of Fort Bragg and the Friends of the Fort Bragg Library.
This month, between October 12 and October 30, while you read at least 15 minutes every day to your children (6 and under), rate 5 of the books you have read, either by using our printable list of books or one of your own. Be sure to include your child’s name and age on the list. Then, between October 12 and 30, bring your list to the library and your child will receive a $ 5 gift certificate to Racines / Spunky Skunk. (one certificate per child).

The Mendocino County League of Voters will be holding their October meeting, “Grass Roots Institute: Partner in Climate Action” on Tuesday, October 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place via Zoom. For the program, Jim Tarbell and Carrie Durkee of the Grass Roots Institute will provide a brief history of the GRI and discuss their current areas of interest. These include climate action and securing a sustainable and resilient future for our country, which are also priorities for the League. A Symphony of the Redwoods, Opus Chamber Music Series Concert, Sunday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m., Cotton Auditorium, Fort Bragg. This concert will feature a special ensemble of talented, seasoned and highly regarded musicians from the region. They will fill the room with musical selections perfectly suited to their talents, including well-known clarinet works by Mozart, Prokofiev and Francaix. In addition, a brand new work by Jeff Ives composed especially for this group will be presented,
