The Sims 4 Seasons Calendar will soon be free for all players.
As first reported by Digital Spy earlier this week, EA plans to make the calendar feature, which was first introduced in the Seasons expansion for The Sims 4 in 2018, free for everyone. Whether you’ve purchased the Seasons expansion or not, you’ll soon be able to take full advantage of one of the expansion’s most popular features.
For those unfamiliar with the feature itself, the calendar essentially did what it said on the tin: provide the player with a greater sense of time for individual in-game activities. For example, the player can track seasons, weather, holidays, and individual Sims’ schedules via the calendar itself, which generally gives the player a better idea of the time and place in the world.
However, this new free version of the calendar feature won’t feature the “seasons” tab if you don’t have the Seasons expansion itself, EA recently confirmed. Additionally, the free version of the calendar won’t keep track of weather and holidays, negating two other established calendar features, but you’ll still be able to schedule individual times and events for your Sims in-game.
It’s not long to wait for the calendar feature to become free for all Sims 4 players. EA has revealed that the feature will be implemented at some point before the next Cottage Living expansion launches later this this month, July 22. Since there are only a few days left until the new expansion launches, the calendar should be made free within a matter of a few days from now.
